Presidential Office devises National Program to Support Family Values

Acting President of Moldova, Marian Lupu announced that the Presidential Office is preparing a National Program to Support Family Values on the occasion of the Family Festival that is dedicated to the International Family Day, Info-Prim Neo reports, quoting the presidential press service. According to Marian Lupu, the implementation of the future program will be supported by Andreea Marin-Banica, UNICEF Ambassador and guest of honor of the Family Festival in Chisinau. “Time has come for the state to get involved in creating appropriate conditions so that every family in Moldova enjoys decent living conditions,” said Marian Lupu. He mentioned several of the subjects that will form part of the program, including support for the mother and child, creation of sports clubs and stadiums so that the young generation be healthy, the need for kindergartens, schools and libraries, vocational centers and cultural homes that would reduce juvenile delinquency. Marian Lupu said the high employment rate is another problem that destroys families in Moldova. “I will demand that the state institutions find the necessary remedies so that the families in Moldova be undivided and the parents be near their children as nobody can educate them better than the parents,” he stated.
