The legislature’s special sitting for the election of the head of state will be broadcast live by a number of TV channels and websites. The public radio station Radio Moldova will also transmit the most important moments of the process. Liliana Vitu-Esanu, director of the News Department of the public TV channel Moldova 1, has told Info-Prim Neo that a special program moderated by Elena Robu-Popa will start at 14.00. The special sitting of Parliament will be broadcast live. In parallel, there will be interventions by the program’s invitees – commentators, journalists, and leaders of extraparliamentary parties. The first round will take place between 14.00 and 15.30, while the second – between 15.30 and 18.00. Starting with 19.55, Moldova 1 will air the program “Good Evening” that is moderated by Mircea Surdu. The invitees will include Acting President Marian Lupu and political analysts Corneliu Ciurea and Nicolae Negru. Oleg Cristal, editor-in-chief of Publika TV, said the channel will broadcast three special programs that will involve such invitees as political analysts, foreign analysts, constitutionalists, lawmakers and politicians. The first program will begin at 11.15, the second – at 14.00 and will include the live broadcasting of the special sitting of Parliament, while the last – at 15.00 and will be in Russian. Corneliu Durnescu, director of the News Department of Jurnal TV, said the channel will put on air short fragments of the legislative body’s special sitting starting at 14.00. The special sitting will be also broadcast online on www.privesc.eu, while the website www.inprofunzime.md will provide a live text from the meeting. A special edition of the program “In profunzime” will begin on Pro TV at 21.00. The program’s special invitee is Marian Lupu. The procedure for electing the President of Moldova starts at 14.00. Marian Lupu is the only candidate for the presidency, proposed by the Alliance for European Integration.
