Presidential decree discharges soldiers who served their enlistment

Moldovan acting president Marian Lupu issued a decree on Thursday, releasing from active military service all the soldiers who reached the end of their enlistment. In May-June 2011, they will be included in the reserve forces, Info-Prim Neo reports. According to the decree, active militaries from the Army, the Border Guard and the Carabineers, whose service was completed, are released and become members of the reserve forces in May-June 2011. At the same time, all men who came of age shall be recruited for shortened military service in the Army, Border Guard or Carabineers, unless they meet the conditions allowing them to delay or decline the enlistment. The decree also says the Government will decide the number of recruits for each military body, will take necessary measures to ensure an efficient recruiting, including organization and permanent strict control of the process. Acting president Marian Lupu also released militaries who finished the shortened military service either in the National Army or in the Border Guard. They will be incorporated in the reserve forces.
