President Voronin does not include speaker Lupu into Supreme Security Council

President Vladimir Voronin has not included the Parliament's president Marian Lupu among the new members of the Supreme Security Council (SSC). On December 15, the President inked a decree modifying the SSC structure, and the document was published in Monitorul Oficial (Official Gazette) Friday, December 19, Info-Prim Neo reports. Vladimir Voronin remains the chairman of the Council, his advisor Ion Morei is the secretary. Members of this structure are premier Zinaida Greceanai; chairman of the national security committee of the Parliament Iurie Stoicov; the director of the Service of Information and Security, Artur Resetnicov; general prosecutor Valeriu Gurbulea; foreign minister Andrei Stratan; interior minister Gheorghe Papuc; defense minister Vitalie Vrabie; the National Bank's governor Leonid Talmaci and the head of the anti-corruption squad, Sergiu Burduja. By modifying the Constitution in 2000, Moldova became a parliamentary republic.
