President Voronin asks the Cabinet to stay away from the electoral race. “The ministers who'll be on the lists will be suspended and should start thinking of the deputy ministers to replace them during the period,” he told the last sitting of the Cabinet, Info-Prim Neo reports. Regardless of the political developments, the Cabinet shall do its job, he said. Vladimir Voronin urged the ministers to go on with the program on connecting localities to the gas pipe, water pipe, to renovate roads. “Unfortunately many were destroyed in the first years of independence. A new economic developing stage is set to start now,” he said. Voronin insist all the money from donors for these programs should be passed through the treasury. “I have information that 100 million lei are allocated to build roads, which were not passed through the treasury. We'll notify the Court of Accounts,” he vowed. The President has ordered to insure more transparency in public procurements and in tenders selecting firms to carry out developments programs.
