President Vladimir Voronin arrived on Wednesday morning, November 1, at the Chisinau City Hall to pay a new visit. Head of state declared that he is on this visit due to some previous agreements, to analyze what projects have been carried out this year in the capital, what works will be performed until the end of the year and what the municipality pledges to achieve next year. Voronin said there are changes for the better in Chisinau, there are settled issues related to the functioning of the engineering networks in the cold season that has started. The President has also referred to the drawing up of the General Urban Plan, being sure that it will be approved as official document for the Chisinau’s development by the end of the year. The meeting was held behind closed doors. Reporters had access to the meeting hall for just five minutes, being announced that head of state will make statements for the press later. Premier Vasile Tarlev, ministers, leaders of factions from the Chisinau Municipal Council, independent councilors, as well as the heads of the municipal divisions are participating in the meeting. The last President’s visit to the Chisinau City Hall took place in mid summer.
