“We all know that today we live in a rather tense and responsible period. We are those who must decide our country’s fate. That’s why I call on all the voters to go to the polls,” President Nicolae Timofti says in a message on a social networking site, quoted by IPN.

The Head of State says we would have had more success long ago if we had been consistent in our actions and in the 1990s voted people or political forces that would have oriented us to Europe.

“I’m firmly convinced that our place is in the EU and only this way will we have another life. We must convince everyone of this,” reads the President’s message.

The presidential runoff is held in Moldova on November 13.
