President Nicolae Timofti on February 14 issued a decree by which Chiril Gaburici was nominated as a candidate for the postcof Prime Minister, IPN reports.

Under the Constitution, Chiril Gaburici has 15 days to ask for the Parliament’s vote of confidence for the government program and the Cabinet.

In the consultations held by the head of state with the parliamentary groups, Chiril Gaburici was proposed for premiership by the Liberal Democratic Party.

It will be the second attempt to invest the Government as the Cabinet proposed by Iurie Leanca wasn’t given a vote of confidence on February 12.

In 2008-2012, Chiril Gaburici had managed the telecoms carrier Moldcell and then its sister-company in Azerbaijan.
