President Igor Dodon signed decrees to dismiss Ruxanda Glavan from the post of minister of health and Victor Zubcu from the post of minister of youth and sport, IPN reports.
“As I said not only once, I support the reduction in the administrative apparatus and in the number of ministries and plead for their qualitative, not numerical optimization. Only professionals should be named to the post of minister,” President Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.

The duties of the Ministry of Health will be taken over by the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection and Family and the newly formed institution will be called the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection. The Ministry of Culture will take over the responsibilities of the Ministry of Youth and Sport and the Ministry of Education and the research area of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova.
