Moldova's President Nicolae Timofti today signed a decree to appoint Gheorghe Galbura as deputy defense minister, IPN reports.

Col. (res) Gheorghe Galbura, a lifelong military man, replaces Ana Vasilache, a former member of the Liberal Party.

According to the founding agreement of the governing Eurointegration Alliance, the privilege to appoint the leadership of the Ministry of Defence has been reserved to the Liberal Party.
