The situation in the legal system and the way in which the justice sector reform, including in the prosecution service, is done was discussed by President Maia Sandu and Prosecutor Alexandr Stoianoglo in a working meeting, IPN reports.
“I stated my view on the justice sector reform and underscored the expectations the people have of the prosecution service,” stated Maia Sandu, being quoted in a press release of the presidential press service.
In particular, President Sandu referred to the independence of the players of the justice sector as a key element of the act of justice and as an indispensable condition for restoring the people’s confidence in the system.
