President Maia Sandu requested all the institutions to increase the alert level so as to promptly identify and deal with incidents in the security sector and the citizens and business community feel safe. The request was formulated in the meeting of the Supreme Security Council that addressed the energy security risks following the shelling of Ukrainian energy infrastructure by Russia, IPN reports.
The Supreme Security Council recommended the Government to update the plan for reducing technical vulnerability concerning the supply of electricity and heat and to mobilize all the capacities to generate power and heat. The executive is to adjust the processes of organizing the development and implementation of policies in the field of energy and to ensure in real time communication with critical infrastructure operators from the public and private sectors.
