The leader of the Party “Democracy at Home” Vasile Costiuc said the members of party who accuse him of being a traitor and swindler are “vulnerable to money” that is paid by the Socialists and the Communists to spoil the party’s image, IPN reports.
Contacted by IPN for a comment, Vasile Costiuc said that through these people, the Electoral Bloc of the Socialists and the Communists try to discredit the Party “Democracy at Home” as the Socialists and the Communists realize that this party will enter Parliament.
“We realize that we set off on a difficult, thorny road. There are many people who become nervous when they imagine us in Parliament. They thus found some persons with a weaker character and paid some money to them and these guys started to make statements. This is on their conscience,” said the leader of the Party “Democracy at Home”.
According to Vasile Costiuc, some of the members of the party who today made statements against him have “some criminal cases” started against them.
In a news conference today, members of the Party “Democracy at Home” accused the party’s leader Vasile Costiuc of compiling the list of candidates for the July 11 snap parliamentary elections without consulting them and of taking money for placing persons at the top of the list. Vasile Costiuc was named “swindler and traitor”, his mates accusing him of incorporating persons who represent Ilan Shor and Vlad Plahotniuc. Vasile Costiuc was also accused of selling the Party “Democracy at Home” to Vlad Plahotniuc in 2012.
