The European Union is looking for solutions to offer Moldova additional support for overcoming the gas and electricity issues, said the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen. She noted she will discuss the subject with the President of the Republic of Moldova during a visit to Moldova in the middle of this week, IPN reports.

“I had a good conversation with President Maia Sandu. We discussed the dire energy situation in Moldova. We are working on additional support to help Moldova with its immediate gas and electricity needs. I look forward to meeting Maia Sandu when I visit Moldova mid-week,” the official posted in social media.

The presidential administration in Chisinau hasn’t provided information on the issue.
