The property statement for 2012 of President Nicolae Timofti was published on the website of the National Integrity Commission on June 18, announced the online platform “Moldova Curata” (“Clean Moldova”), which earlier published an article saying the head of state’s property is being hidden, IPN reports.
The statement says that Nicolae Timofti has a deposit of 254,000 lei at Banca de Economii, on which he received interest of over 9,000 lei last year. The allowance paid to him when he left the post of Supreme Council of Magistrates president after being elected as head of state was of over 325,000 lei.
The incomes of Nicolae Timofti and Margaretei Timofti totaled more than 664,000 lei last year. The President’s pension was 89,000 lei, while his salary was over 115,000 lei.
The property of the presidential family remained unchanged from 2011. They own an apartment of 85.3 square meters to the value of over 502,000 lei in Chisinau and a plot of land of 0.0569 hectares in Nimoreni, Ialoveni that is valued at 44,419 lei.
Soţii Timofti does not own vehicles or shareholdings in companies.
