President Maia Sandu during February 14-15 is taking part in the 61st edition of the Munich Security Conference, the most important international forum dedicated to global security, IPN reports.
On the sidelines of the conference, the head of state will have meetings with high-ranking officials to address regional security and peacemaking efforts on the European continent.
"In a context marked by unprecedented challenges for European security, President Maia Sandu will underline Moldova's commitment to contribute to regional stability and cooperation, strengthening our country's strategic partnerships," said the President’s Office.
Moldova’s delegation includes Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi, Minister of Internal Affairs, Daniella Misail-Nichitin, and Minister of Defense Anatolie Nosatyi.
The Munich Security Conference is an annual landmark event that brings together political leaders, security experts and representatives of civil society to promote peaceful solutions to global conflicts, international cooperation and an open dialogue between states.
