Moldovan President Vladimir Voronin has instituted the medal “For Excellence”. According to the respective regulation, the distinction will be awarded annually to higher education graduates who accomplished their studies with an average mark not below 9, Info-Prim Neo has learnt from the Presidential press unit. In selecting candidates, attention will be paid to their participating in scientific research and involvement into social life. The candidates will be nominated by the University senates, after taking the license exam or the master thesis. The approved persons will be confirmed through the rector's order to be presented to the Education Ministry, which will forward them to the Presidency till June 25. The medal will be awarded in the ceremony on the Graduate Day.
