On the day of his inauguration, President of Moldova Igor Dodon had a number of bilateral meetings with high-ranking officials of a number of states, IPN reports.

In the meeting with the delegation of the Republic of Belarus, led by Deputy Prime Minister Mihail Rusyi, Igor Dodon raised a number of issues of mutual interest in the commercial-economic and investment spheres, such as development of entrepreneurial relations, including in the area of farm machinery building, export of wine products, production of medicines and mineral fertilizers.

Igor Dodon said the Republic of Moldova and Belarus have all the possibilities of expanding the commercial exchanges between the two states. ”Our countries have all the opportunities to increase the commercial exchanges up to 400 million lei a year. We supported the idea of inaugurating trading houses in the capitals of the two states. I underlined that Belarus managed not only to keep the best social-economic practices in the period of the USSR, but to also multiply them based on the new economic relations that were difficult. The Republic of Belarus, ruled by President Aleksandr Lukashenko, is an example for us in this regard,” he stated.

In the meeting with the French delegation led by the vice president of the Group of Europe of Nations and Freedom Eduard Ferrand, head of the Delegation of the National Front in the European Parliament, the European official said that with the inauguration of Igor Dodon as President, a new Moldova appeared, which is free, neutral and sovereign.

Igor Dodon also met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Shavarsh Kocharyan. The two discussed subjects from the Moldovan-Armenian relations, starting with air traffic and ending with the exchange of practices in the cooperation with the Eurasian Economic Union.
