President Dodon tested three times for COVID-19

Before going to the parade in Moscow, President Igor Dodon had two tests for the presence of the novel coronavirus in Moldova and one more such test when he arrived in the capital of Russia. He said he will self-isolate not for 14 days, but for several days and this Sunday will have again a test for COVID-19, IPN reports.

In the program “President Responds”, Igor Dodon said the Russian side recommended that all the participants in the parade should be tested for several times. “Our situation is good. All the Moldovan soldiers who took part in the parade are also healthy,” he stated.

As to self-isolation on his return to Moldova, President Dodon said the 14-day period is not mandatory if the trip abroad was a service one. Even so, he decided to self-isolate for several days in Holercani and on June 28 will have a new test. If this is negative, he will go to the weekly meeting with the Premier and Speaker on June 29 and will then travel to districts.

As to the costs incurred for the participation in the Red Square parade, the official said these were covered by the Russian side, except for the plane tickets.
