President Dodon meets with Russian Premier Medvedev in Istanbul

President Igor Dodon, in a meeting with the Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, made a request to the Russian administration to accelerate the process of amnestying the Moldovan migrants whose violations fall under article 27 of Law No. 114. The meeting of the two officials took place on the sidelines of the anniversary Summit of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization held in Istanbul on May 22, IPN reports.

The officials conferred on the international situation and discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries. Igor Dodon thanked the Russian Premier for solving the problems related to the export of Moldovan products to Russia and the problem of Moldovan migrant workers. For his part, Dmitry Medvedev pleaded for strengthening and extending the relations of cooperation between the two states.

On May 22 and 23, presidential advisers Ion Perju and Elena Gorelova, together with the chairman of the Parliament’s commission for agriculture and food industry Radu Mudreac, are paying a working visit to Moscow where they will have a series of meetings with managers of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor), the Federal Service for Supervision of Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing (Rospotrebnadzor) and of the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.
