President Igor Dodon signed decrees to name Emil Druc as Moldova’s Ambassador to France and Aureliu Ciocoi as Ambassador to the United States, IPN reports.
According to the presidential office, in the meeting with the diplomats, President Dodon wished them success in the diplomatic work and told them that the interests of the state should be above everything no matter where they are.
“It is our duty to promote the country properly, politely and efficiently and I requested the ambassadors to fulfill this duty,” said President Dodon.
Both Emil Druc and Aureliu Ciocoi are career diplomats and have worked in the diplomatic service for over 20 years. Earlier, Emil Druc served as Moldova’s ambassador to Sweden, while Aurel Ciocoi as Moldova’s Ambassador to Germany.
