President Bush to Nominate Next Ambassador to Moldova
The President. George W. Bush, intends to nominate Michael D. Kirby to be Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to the Republic of Moldova, according to US Embassy to Moldova press release.
Michael D.Kirby a career member of the Senior Foreign Service, currently serves as Consul General in Seoul, South Korea. Prior to this, he served as Consul General in Warsaw, Poland. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of the Office of Intelligence Coordination in the Bureau of Intelligence and Research at the Department of State. Mr. Kirby received his bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Kirby’s appointment as Ambassador to Moldova has to be confirmed by the United States Senate.
