The preparations for the winter holidays in the central square are at their height. The fir tree was already installed and the lighting was placed. The lights on the Christmas tree will be turned on at 5 p.m. on December 23. Also then, there will be inaugurated the Christmas tree in the central square of the capital city. A concert will be given there later and this will feature the Choir “Voices of Spring”, the ensemble of violinists “Divertisment”, pianists Iurie Mahovici and Anatol Lapicus, Ethno Republic with Marcel Ștefăneț, Nelly Ciobanu, Cornelia Ștefăneț, Natalia Gordienko, Geta Burlacu, Dara, the band “Brio Sonores”, Aurel Chirtoacă, Adrian Ursu, Ion and Ruxanda Rață, Cristina and Sofia Scarlat, Viorica Lupu and the folk group “Opincuța”. The evening will end with a recital by Romanian singer Ștefan Bănică Junior.
On December 31, starting at 8:30 p.m., the performance of music “Magic of New Year’s Eve” will involve the orchestra of Santa Clauses, Advahov Brothers and Zinaida Julea, “Flueiraș” folk music and dances ensemble led by Edgar and Marcel Ștefăneț, Maria Iliuț and folk ensembles “Crenguță de Iederă”, “Romanița” and “Ialoveneanca”, Nelly Ciobanu, “Brio Sonores”, Cornelia Ștefăneț, Constantin Moscovici, Veta Ghimpu-Munteanu, Lenuța Gheorghiță, Cătălin Josan, Doina Sulac, Satoshi, Dara, and groups of carolers and dancers. The special invite is Carla’s Dreams.
On January 6, on the eve of Christmas celebrated according to the old calendar, a concert will be given starting at 6 p.m. This will feature the folk music orchestra “Folclor” with main conductor Petre Neamțu and soloists Vasile Iovu, Nicolae Paliț, Silvia Goncear, Vasile Rusu, Anatol Nunu, Viorica Moraru, Sorin Zberea, Diamanta Paterău, Valentin Butucel and Valentina Rusu, Maria Stoianov and “Buciumul” Studio, “Chisinau” Brass Band with Igor Rusu and “Romanița” ensemble, “Moldovlaska” orchestra and Adriana Ochișanu, Iulian Corochi, Corina Țepeș, Igor Cuciuc, Maria Iliuț and “Crenguță de Iederă”.
