Prime Minister Iurie Leanca today instructed Interior Minister Dorin Recean to produce proposals for harsher penalties against traffic offenders. This comes after traffic accidents on Moldova's roads claimed 11 lives in the last few days, IPN learned from a Government press release.
The prime minister also demanded that the quality of driver's education is monitored more intensely, and in particular the way exams are being passed and driver's licenses are being issued.
Iurie Leanca called on all motorists to drive more carefully and responsibly.
