Prime Minister Pavel Filip, in the opening of the October 26 meeting of the Cabinet, said a very important exercise for asserting Moldova’s democracy will take place this Sunday and the executive is confident the elections to be free and fair, IPN reports.
The Premier noted that the correct and transparent conduct of elections will reaffirm the support for the pro-European course chosen by Moldova.
Pavel Filip called on the people not to believe the rumors concerning election rigging spread by some of the election runners. He requested the Ministry of the Interior, the Central Election Commission and the observers to strictly follow the elections. He also urged the people not to believe lies and to do their civic duty.
