Premier to meet with high-ranking officials in Brussels

Prime Minister Pavel Filip will have meetings with high-ranking officials of European institutions in Brussels, where the Moldova–European Union Association Council holds its section meeting today, March 14, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, before the opening of the plenary session Pavel Filip will meet with the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, who is the Vice President of the European Commission, and with European Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn.

On March 15, the Premier will have a meeting with the Vice Presidents of the European Commission: Maroš Šefčovič, Commissioner for Energy Union; Valdis Dombrovskis, Commissioner for the Euro and Social Dialogue, and Corina Cretu, Commissioner for Regional Policy.

In the afternoon of the same day, Pavel Filip will meet with the Member of the European Parliament, co-chairman of the Moldova–EU Parliamentary Association Committee Andi Cristea and will have discussions with members of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament.

The Premier’s visit to Brussels ends with a meeting with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz.
