While on a working visit to Anenii Noi district, Prime Minister Pavel Filip informed himself about the gravel quarry in Delacau village and inspected the roads in the neighboring villages. He also visited the irrigation station in Roscani village, which was rehabilitated with the support of the Millennium Challenge Corporation, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press office, the Premier noted it is important for the quarries not to cause inconvenience to locals, while the entrepreneurs should become involved in the repair of the damaged road sections.

Pavel Filip said they will analyze the work of each of the 20 quarries of Anenii Noi district. A working group was set up to identify solutions for rehabilitating the local road. A project to repair a portion of about 31 km of the road was thought up and is to be implemented at a cost of 190 million lei.

During the visit to Roscani, the Prime Minister underlined the importance of implementing modern technologies in agriculture, saying that the way in which the farmers organized themselves in associations is a good example for the whole country, while the modernized centralized irrigations systems show the importance of successful cooperation with the development partners.

Pavel Filip also had a meeting with representatives of the local public administration of Anenii Noi district.
