Premier requests concrete actions to support farmers
Prime Minister Vlad Filat has instructed Minister of Agriculture and Food Industry Vasile Bumacov to come up with a comprehensive plan on what measures should be taken to provide real support to farmers during the autumn farm works, Info-Prim Neo reports.
“The first actions in this regard should be submitted for approval to the Government next week”, requested Vlad Filat.
The Premier added that next Tuesday, September 4, there will be published the results of an assessment of damages caused by the drought. The assessment was conducted with the participation of international experts from FAO, UNDP and other international organizations.
The information will be presented to Moldova's development partners and other donor organizations which showed their availability to help Moldova's farmers overcome their difficult situation.
