The non-integration of the national minorities is one of the greatest deficiencies of the current government, Prime Minister Iurie Leanca said in the program “Public Eye” on “Noroc” TV channel, IPN reports.
In this connection, the head of Government said they could not find ways to motivate the representatives of the ethnic minorities to learn and known the Romanian language so as to be able to inform themselves from the Moldovan mass media, not the Russian one, and not to seek entry into an organization that will bring no benefits to them.
The Prime Minister expressed his satisfaction with the implementation of reforms in justice and the police and with the steps taken to fight corruption. “Therefore, we will refrain from electoral propaganda. In the period that remained until the elections, we will focus more on these reforms,” he stated.
As to the relations with Russia, Iurie Leanca noted he regrets that these relations became less systemic and two meetings between high-ranking Moldovan and Russian officials were missed. “Our main argument is that the signing of the Association Agreement with the EU does not prevent us from having good relations with other states. We will make use of diplomatic dialogue in the relations with Moscow, which I think will improve soon. This dialogue should not include only statements on social networking sites, which are often insulting,” he said.
The Premier harshly criticized the actions of the Communist Party. “Instead of submitting proposals and ideas, they do nothing else but make the people take to the streets. Their actions and statements run counter to the national interests and can be described as anti-state in the current geopolitical context,” he stated.
Iurie Leanca said the relations and the cooperation between the parties of the ruling alliance are now the best. They are yet to consider participating in the elections as a bloc.
