The package of salary measures and essential allocations on the amendment of the budget “Bonus for Moldova” comes to increase the population’s incomes and to stimulate economic growth, Prime Minister Dorin Recean stated on Monday. The package to the value of 1.3 billion lei is projected to have a direct impact on 170,000 persons, IPN reports.
In a press briefing, Premier Recean said the Government’s goal is to have a strong, European economy that would ensure pay raises.
This way, the support package envisions the allocation of an extra 352 million lei for covering the heating and electricity costs in schools, hospitals, preschools and other budget-funded institutions.
An extra amount of 100 million lei will be allocated for repairing and maintaining roads. An extra 300 million lei will go on regional development, to implement projects within the European Village program. The agricultural sector will additionally get 100 million lei.
The package “Bonus for Moldova” also includes salary raises or lump sum payments for a series of categories of employees.
Next week, Dorin Recean will go to Parliament to present the support package and to ask to amend the state budget in connection with it.
