Premier meets with President of Hungary

Prime Minister Dorin Recean started his visit to Hungary. He had his first meeting with Hungarian President Katalin Novák with whom he discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries and develop new opportunities for cooperation, IPN reports.

The officials referred to the authorities’ sustained efforts to ensure the irreversibility of Moldova’s path of European integration.

“The opening of accession negotiations with the EU is the result of our joint work and we are firmly committed to continue the reforms and the European modernization of the Republic of Moldova, including by harmonizing the legislation with European standards,” said Premier Dorin Recean, who is quoted in a Government’s press release.

The Moldovan official is paying a working visit to Hungary at the invitation of his Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orban. Later today, Premier Recean will meet with Viktor Orban, with businessmen and the Moldovan diaspora in Hungary.
