Prime Minister Chiril Gaburici said he regrets the decision to release the former president of the Administration Board of Banca de Economii Ilan Shor from house arrest and to place him under judicial control. The Premier told the journalists that he will instruct the Ministry of the Interior to take measures to make sure that Shor does not leave the country, IPN reports.
“I regret it because I always demanded taking measures to bring this investigation to an end and, given that Ilan Shor was one of the suspects, we wanted him to be here, at home. Now I will instruct the Ministry of the Interior to make sure that Shor does not leave Moldova,” said the Premier.
Asked to comment on the statements of former minister of finance Veaceslav Negruta, according to whom money was actually stolen not from Banca de Econmii, Unibank or Banca Sociala, but from the National Bank’s reserves, Chiril Gaburici said the executive will take note of all the statements and will take the necessary measures.
