Prime Minister Pavel Filip during May 2-6 will be paying a visit to Brussels where he will take part in the fourth meeting of the Moldova - EU Association Council, IPN reports.
According to the Government’s press service, the meeting will discuss the progress made in implementing the reforms stipulated in the Association Agreement, including the justice sector reform, corruption fighting, aligning of the national legislation with the European standards, improvement of the business climate and assistance in developing civil society. The Council will also consider the developments under the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) and aspects of the economic cooperation between the EU and the Republic of Moldova.
On the sidelines of the meeting of the Association Council, Pavel Filip will have a series of meetings with high-ranking European officials, among whom are the High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini, Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Johannes Hahn, President of the European Council Donald Tusk and European Commissioner for Economic and Financial Affairs, Taxation and Customs Pierre Moscovici.
The discussions will center on the results achieved by the Government in implementing reforms and the development priorities of the Republic of Moldova for the immediate period.
