Premier Filip invites investors from United Arab Emirates to come to Moldova

Moldova is interested in stimulating the relations between entrepreneurs from Moldova and the United Arab Emirates, including by starting companies with joint capital, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in a meeting with the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, IPN reports.

According to the Government’s press service, Pavel Filip invited the investors from the United Arab Emirates to come to Moldova, noting that reforms have been done in the country to support the development of the business community. He reminded that Moldova has a Free Trade Agreement with the EU and Turkey, which are important markets.

The two officials discussed the prospects of intensifying cooperation, noting there are now all the necessary preconditions. The free movement of people from the two states was another subject for discussions. Pavel Filip informed the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi that Moldova already abolished the visa requirements for the citizens of the United Arab Emirates and is ready to also abolish these for the residents of the United Arab Emirates too.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed said the United Arab Emirates supports the modernization of the Republic of Moldova and their investors are interested in expanding their businesses to Moldova. In this regard, it was suggested organizing a visit by businessmen from the United Arab Emirates to Moldova.

At the end of the meeting, Pavel Filip invited Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed to pay a visit to the Republic of Moldova.

Premier Pavel Filip is making a working visit to the United Arab Emirates during January 29-30. A number of bilateral agreements are to be signed during the visit.
