Prime Minister Pavel Filip in the June 23 meeting of the Cabinet returned to the problem of quality of food products sold in shops in the country, IPN reports.
Pavel Filip referred to the cases of sale of food products with the use-by date expired, noting that some of the people are attacked by shop owners when these identify such situations. He underlined that the observance of the consumers’ right to enjoy products of a high quality is a priority for the executive and the National Food Safety Agency is responsible for monitoring the situation in the field.
The Prime Minister called on the Agency to initiate inspections in grocery stores and in summer camps. “I ask you to carry out these inspections and to inform us about the results so that we take measures in relation to those who cause such problems,” said Pavel Filip.
