The signal of the Moldovan Government is aimed at the businesspeople, who are invited to invest in Moldova. On the other hand, those who already invested must see in the Government a reliable partner, Prime Minister Pavel Filip said in the economic forum “Republic of Moldova in the new regional context” that was staged by the Moldova Business People Association on May 25, IPN reports.
“I confirm our commitment for reforms and better living standards. This Government and this parliamentary alliance are the guarantee of stability during the next few years. Regardless of the results of the presidential elections, the Republic of Moldova will be stable. The Government has a country project that it will implement. Investments cannot exist without stability. The external resources for Moldova are very important not only financially, but also for ensuring the country’s credibility at external level,” said the official.
According to Pavel Filip, the executive’s role is to guarantee stability and credibility for those who want to invest. The Government aims to eliminate the vulnerabilities from the financial-banking sector, to reform justice, etc. “Our signal is clear – we want to invite businesspeople to invest in the Republic of Moldova. Those who already invested should know that the Government is their reliable partner,” stated the Premier.
The chairman of the Moldova Business People Association Vlad Plahotniuc said the forum will discuss Moldova’s future in a new regional context and in a new national context. “I hope that after this forum, we will have a clearer view on what we have to do how and how we can change the future of the Republic of Moldova. This forum is held in a difficult period. The economic problems are not at all simple, while the problems that accumulated during the long periods of political crises last for too long. We now have a stable political alliance and a Government able to forcefully address the problems faced by the country. The government started to do hard work and this work will last for many years because it implies the reformation of all the state institutions,” he stated.
Vlad Plahotniuc added that strengthening the rule of law is his personal preoccupation. “Our common goal is for the respect for the law and social equity to become an important characteristic of the government,” he said, noting the European integration is the government’s objective as this gives the country the chance of achieving economic results. “I commit myself to support the maintenance of balance and political stability in the country, which is vital for reformation, for the functioning of institutions and for the healthy development of the business sector.”
The event involves the former President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso, who encouraged the authorities to continue the launched reforms.
