Prime Minister Pavel Filip requested the ministries and other public authorities to check the functionality of the people’s telephone lines of access, including the anticorruption ones, IPN reports.
In the April 20 meeting of the Cabinet, the Premier said that many citizens complain that these phone numbers do not work and they do not know where they go to submit a complaint. He suggested that these telephone numbers should be published repeatedly, by indicating the hours when these can be accessed by the general public.
In another development, Pavel Filip asked the managers of ministries and other authorities to thoroughly consider the impact of the draft laws and decisions that they promote. He referred to the decision to index the pensions and social benefits and raise them by 10.1% from April 1.
“It is well known that over 680,000 pensioners benefit from these rises, but there is a smaller number of pensioners whose pensions rose to slightly over 1,500 lei after the indexation. These pensioners will no longer receive the financial support provided by the state. We proposed a bill to remedy the situation, but such things should be anticipated,” stated the Premier.
He also referred to a recent journalistic investigation saying that the drugs sold in Moldova are more expensive than the drugs in Ukraine. Drugs made in Ukraine are imported into Moldova at much higher prices by different schemes. Pavel Filip asked Deputy Prime Minister Gheorghe Brega and other officials in charge to rigorously examine the given situation and to submit concrete proposals.
