Prime Minister Pavel Filip requested the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture to resume the receipt of applications for agricultural subsidies even if the agricultural subsidization fund was already divided out. The given requests will be satisfied in 2017, IPN reports.

According to the executive, 2,659 applications for subsidies for 2016 were accepted and then the Agency for Intervention and Payments in Agriculture stopped the receipt in accordance with the regulation concerning the distribution of the agricultural subsidization fund for 2016.

About 4.5 million lei is yet to be paid for 2015. The given applications are being processed by the Agency. Debts of about 480 million lei to agricultural producers for 2014-2015 were cleared in the course of this year.
