Premier aims to bring conflicts inside ruling alliance to an end, Nicolae Chirtoaca

Political analyst Nicolae Chirtoaca considers that Prime Minister Vlad Filat’s initiative to open consultations with society is aimed at bringing the conflicts inside the Alliance for European Integration to an end. “The ruling alliance became nonfunctional owing to the impasse inside it. The Premier’s initiative aims to break the deadlock,” the analyst told Info-Prim Neo. “It is an attempt by the Liberal-Democrat leader to identity solutions to the crisis by consultations with society. Surely it is also an attempt to end the internal rivalry with Vlad Plahotniuc and to remedy the situation by solving the problem of destructive rivalry inside the alliance,” said Nicolae Chirtoaca. The analyst also said that Moldova is in a political crisis owing to the presidential elections, but it is also in a constitutional crisis because the supreme law is not perfect. It is also in an economic and social crisis. “I think the Premier realizes the risks to which we are exposed with a non-functional ruling alliance. This initiative is an attempt to propose constructive solutions to the crisis, which can be overcome with the EU’s support and by actively and consciously implementing reforms aimed at reducing corruption and reorganizing the legal system,” Nicolae Chirtoaca said, stressing that the effects will become evident only after the Premier addresses society. On July 4, MP Vlad Filat will commence an extensive process to consult society through the agency of the National Participation Council, opinion leaders, ambassadors working in Moldova, representatives of trade unions, religions, employers, the Foreign Investors Association of Moldova, the parties that formed the ruling alliance and of the parliamentary opposition and extra-parliamentary parties.
