The number of graduates who passed the national Baccalaureate exams grew by 822 persons as a result of the additional session. The preliminary results were posted on Wednesday at the 14 Baccalaureate centers in the municipalities of Balti, Cahul, Chisinau, Comrat and Edineț, IPN reports.
Out of the 1,257 lyceum graduates involved in the additional session, 534 passed the exams. The pass rate is therefore 42.48%. Out of the 1,332 candidates who came from colleges and centers of excellence, 184 or 13.81% passed the exam. Out of 68 candidates from universities, 15 passed the exams and this is 22.05%. Out of 50 external candidates, 15 or 30% passed the exams during the additional session. Out of the 771 candidates who failed to pass the exams the previous session, 74 or 9.59% passed the exams.
As a result of the additional session, the general pass rate rose to 73.23%.
The candidates can see the graded tests and the grades online during July 26-27 on www.bac.gov.md. The candidates who do not agree with the results can file challenges to the Baccalaureate centers where they took the exams today and tomorrow, between 9am and 6pm. The challenges will be examined during July 28-30, while the final results of the additional session will be announced on July 31.
The additional session involved 3,478 persons out of the 5,746 candidates who failed the exams or didn’t take part in the basic session for well-founded reasons.
