The National Prehospital Emergency Medical Assistance Center received 30 new ambulances outfitted with the equipment needed to provide emergency medical assistance to the population. The new ambulances will replace old vehicles, IPN reports.
Now the patients will have swifter access to medical services of the highest quality, while the healthcare workers will have appropriate working conditions, said Minister of Health Ala Nemerenco. She noted that the emergency medical assistance substations will be further provided with new ambulances.
The National Prehospital Emergency Medical Assistance Center’s director Natalia Catanoi said that together with the renewal of ambulances, the swiftness and quality of the provided medical services and also patients’ confidence will increase.
The distributed ambulances form part of the lot of 168 ambulances purchased in the framework of a project financed under a framework loan agreement between Moldova and the Council of Europe Development Bank.
The ambulances were distributed to district emergency medical assistance substations.
