Pre-tests in exam subjects for 10,000 students started

The Ministry of Education launched the pre-tests in exam subjects. They will take place on March 18-27 and are aimed at improving the quality of the tests in the 2013 examination session. The testing is organized in 143 lyceums and 53 secondary schools for about 10,000 students, IPN reports.

According to a communiqué from the Ministry of Education, the papers at this stage will be assessed by members of the working groups for formulating exam tests in a certain discipline. The pre-test papers are not graded. The Quality Insuring Agency is responsible for the organization and holding of pre-testing on a representative sample.

On April 1-12, the Ministry of Education and the Quality Insuring Agency will provide the candidates with testing models so as to familiarize the students with the format of the test, their difficulty level and the areas contained in the examination programs. The tests in this period will be available on aee.edu.md.

The Ministry recommends all the preuniversity education institutions to organize the pre-testing so as to determine the preparedness of the students for the 2013 examination session.

The graduation exams will be taken in June.
