Mircea cel Bătrân Blvd in Chisinau will be extended up to Bucovinei St, while Industrială and Mesager streets will be rehabilitated. The Chisinau City Hall announced that this will be possible thanks to the Pre-financing Agreement signed by the municipality with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

Mayor Ion Ceban at a meeting said that this document marks the beginning of a new major investment commitment of over 1 billion lei in the rehabilitation of urban infrastructure, IPN reports.

The mayor of Chisinau stressed that the project is meant to create the infrastructure needed for urban and economic development and also for promoting sustainable mobility, thus contributing to reducing congestion and improving life in Chisinau.
