The “Festival of Hope” that will take place at the Chisinau Arena on July 15-16 is also a spiritual event that will include a prayer for the Republic of Moldova. “We will pray to God to bless our country,” Valeriu Giletski, chairman of the organizational committee, stated in a news conference staged by IPN.
He noted that a prayer for peace in the country and in Ukraine will be said at the event. “We are concerned about these events close to our border and would like to ask God to be merciful and bless us with peace,” said Valeriu Giletski.
The organizers said the preparations for this evangelistic event started last September and combined the forces of 16 departments, together with the involvement of thousands of people from approximately 700 evangelical churches of the country.
Entrance to the event will be free and the participants will enjoy a special atmosphere with live music and encouraging messages about the role of hope in people’s lives. The prayer for Moldova and for peace will occupy an important place in the program of the “Festival of Hope”.
According to the organizers, the event’s program will be diverse and full of memorable moments. A 700-member choir called “Voice of Hope” will sing songs and hymns alongside national and foreign bands and singers, such as BBSO, Continental (Romania), Darina Kochanzhi (Ukraine), Huntley Brown (Jamaica), Not an Idol, Kirnev Family, Andrei Jilihovschi (Moldova). Also, Alin Jivan, who medaled at the World and European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, will tell the story of his life.
Victor Pavlovski, Bishop of the Pentecostal churches of Moldova, said that he is glad that such an event can be organized and is grateful for peace in the country.
“We pray for peace in the Republic of Moldova and also in Ukraine and all over the world. He hope that God will protect us and by this message of hope we want to fuel hope so that it does not disappear from the hearts of the inhabitants of the Republic of Moldova. We know that you will not regret if you attend the event,” stated Victor Pavlovski.
