The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) demands that Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Oleg Țulea and CEC president Dorin Cimil should resign because the electoral process was organized defectively, the party’s leader Andrei Năstase was quoted by IPN as saying in a news conference.
The PPPDA also demands that the personnel of out-of-country polling stations should be supplemented with functionaries of embassies so as to increase the capacity to deal with voters and to extend the voting time until all the persons staying in lines at polls abroad can cast their ballots.
According to Andrei Năstase, the insufficient number of polling stations abroad led to crowdedness there and the right to vote of a part of the diaspora members can be thus violated.
“The keeping of the posts by the two functionaries would be defiance of the rule of law and the Constitution of the Republic of Moldova,” stated the politician.
