The candidates for MP of the PPPDA promise to modify the current pension system so that the minimum pension is increased to at least 3,000 lei. They also promise to raise the average official salary to 16,000 lei a month, IPN reports.
In a news conference on June 24, PPPDA MP Stela Macari said the party will adopt a national human capital development program for 2021-2040, with policies centered on the protection of the family, children, young people, persons from vulnerable groups. The PPPDA will double the childbirth allowance and child benefit and will open crèches so as to help the young families to cope. It will also implement state programs to provide mortgage to young families on favorable conditions.
MP Liviu Vovc noted that in the next legislative body, the party will promote policies to provide the pensioners with free services and medicines, will reform and strengthen the social services system for older persons. The PPPDA will pursue a state policy to keep the rising prices of social services under control and will act against cartels by introducing penalties in accordance with the EU practices.
“We will pursue an active policy to support social entrepreneurship that includes tax concessions for social enterprises, economic stimuli for employers who hire persons from socially deprived groups, accessibility, equipment and insurance for persons with disabilities,” said the candidates.
