The Government’s announcement that the food allocations for kindergarten children and school students will be raised by 2 lei a day as of September 1 represents disrespect, considers the administration of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth (PPPDA). The party’s leader Andrei Nastase gave the Chisinau Arena that is to be erected at a cost of about 200 million lei as an example. According to him, the land on which this is to be constructed was allocated with deviations, while the company that will perform the construction works is close to the Democratic leader Vladimir Plahotniuc and President Igor Dodon, IPN reports.

“Recently, the Plahotniuc – Filip Government announced that the daily food allocations for kindergarten children and school students will be by 2 lei higher as of September 1. For this generous gesture that is electoral in character, the Government will allocate 51 million lei. In this connection, we remind that the regime plans to allocate 200 million lei for building the Chisinau Arena, including the adjoining recreational facilities, in Stauceni commune and to sacrifice a plot that is about 70 ha in area and has a market value of about €50 million, which is equal to 1 billion lei,” Andrei Nastase told a news conference.

In this connection, the administration of the PPPDA requests to annul all the normative documents concerning the allocation of the land and the budget funds earmarked for the construction of the Chisinau Arena, and to substantially increase the costs for appropriately feeding the children in schools and kindergartens. “In Moldova, the elderly people die in solitude, while the young people are forced to leave the country. Now they also show disrespect for the children. It is immoral to spend millions of lei on recreation and to destroy the children’s health. If we accept this, we will be destroyed. Only together we can change thing to the better,” said the PPPDA secretary general Kiril Motpan.

At the same time, the PPPDA said 810 million lei will be allocated from the state budget this year for covering the state guarantees provided as a result of the banking fraud. Therefore, the party demands to annul the law that makes the repayment of the funds stolen by Plahotniuc and his accomplices the people’s burden, to really involve the special services of civilized countries into the investigation of the banking fraud and to recover the embezzled funds.
