PPPDA invites people to protest in front of Chisinau City Hall

The administration of the Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) calls on the people to take part in a protest that will be mounted in front of the Chisinau City Hall on July 24, starting at 10am, to demand to transfer the privately owned café “Guguta” under public ownership so as to prevent the building of a business center in its place, IPN reports.

In a news conference, the leader of the PPPDA Andrei Nastase said the real estate mafia coordinated by its plenary beneficiary Vlad Plahotniuc is closer to implementing a large-scale fraudulent scheme, aiming to illegally erect a building in a green area in central Chisinau.

According to Nastase, the National Council of Historical Monuments approved the draft design of the ten-story building that is to be constructed instead of the café “Guguta” in the central park of Chisinau. The entire operation is conducted with the involvement of the captured judiciary that allows to steal not only billions from banks, but also hundreds of thousands of votes and property that a group of swindlers aimed to appropriate.

Andrei Nastase started the news conference in front of the Chisinau City Hall, but had to withdraw after sympathizers of the Shor Party came to protest there. The politician continued the conference by live streaming on Facebook from the party’s head office.

In a press release, the PPPDA said that if the privately owned plot is transferred under public ownership, the attractiveness of the idea of building something on a plot that cannot be privatized will decrease significantly.

The PPPDA calls on the responsible citizens to more often visit the area where the café is situated so as not to allow the works to demolish “Guguta” to start.
