The Party “Dignity and Truth Platform” (PPPDA) for a month has asked for public support from the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS) for another, competent, credible, anti-crisis, pro-European and anti-oligarchic government, said MP Alexandru Slusari. The vice president of the PPPDA noted they reiterate that politically the situation is subject to countdown and asked again his colleagues from the PAS to pronounce publicly and responsibly on the support for the governance assumed by the PPPDA, IPN reports.
“We aim to secure over 51 votes, except for the votes of the Shor group, for supporting this executive that is already considered a sacrifice government. The composition of this government will categorically not include representatives of the Pro Moldova group and there will be formed no alliance. The MPs will vote only a government program and a professional and upright Cabinet that is able to manage the extremely difficult situation faced now by the country. So, the PPPDA’s proposal has nothing to do with the alliance with the devil that someone was already ready to form,” stated Alexandru Slusari.
According to him, even if the PPPDA earlier supported the government unconditionally – “idea of a minority government self-proposed and led by Maia Sandu” – and made also other concessions, they now ascertain that Maia Sandu is much more demanding towards her colleagues of the former ACUM Bloc. “She says that she actually agrees that the Chicu Government should stay if the DA Platform does not get a public message of support from the PDM. We also understand very well that without the largest part of the MPs of the Democratic Party, another Cabinet cannot be appointed. We know precisely that the Democratic group, except for two-three members of this, feels very inconveniently in the coalition with Dodon. However, seeing the position of the PAS, we can expect that those from the Democratic Party in such conditions will most probably say that the DA Platform is not supported at least by the party that has the closest ideology with its ideology and is a member of the European People’s Party,” the MP posed on Facebook.
According to him, the circle is closed and Igor Dodon and Ion Chicu can sleep well and can steal further, at least until the election campaign, when they will be besieged by the sonorous criticism of the opposition. ”If the position of our colleagues from the PAS remains the same, I don’t know if their criticism leveled at the Chicu-Dodon Government will yet matter and will have any credibility,” wrote the MP.
The reaction came after Maia Sandu in a TV program said that the PAS is open to the option “Andrei Năstase – Prime Minister”, but the 51 votes needed to vote in a new Government should be found. “We must see what conditions those who would vote for this Government have and see if there are no hidden goals there. As I said, there are two groups about which we don’t know much or what we know is not positive,” stated Maia Sandu.
