PPPDA demands that government should stop persecutions

The Political Party “Platform Dignity and Truth” (PPPDA) accuses the government of persecutions and demands that the fabrication of criminal cases against political opponents should be stopped. In a press statement, the PPPDA describes the government’s acts against its activists as similar to the practices used by the Stalinist NKVD, IPN reports.

According to the party, the arrest of Gheorghe Petic, the head of the PPPDA’s local organization in Ungheni (who is suspected of rape, e.n.), is illegal and the case against this was fabricated.

The PPPDA calls on the citizens to make common cause and put up resistance. “Dictatorship will be stopped. No autocratic regime lasted and the one established by the Plahotniuc-Dodon duo is not an exception. When this fails, no one will avoid just punishment for their deeds,” says the party’s statement.
